Kid Rock Rips Michelle Obama Over Trump Inauguration — Teases His Own ‘Special’ Show: ‘Not Sure We Could Have Strippers On Poles’

Kid Rock knocked former First Lady Michelle Obama as “angry” for skipping President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, and he teased his own “very special” show there.

Rock joined Fox News’ Jesse Watters on Thursday’s Jesse Watters Primetime to discuss the upcoming Jan. 20 event and his longstanding support for the president-elect. On Obama, the musician had no explanation for why she would skip the event.

“She seems a little angry. She might be — I don’t know. If you can’t say something nice,” he said.

At one point the musician recalled that he agreed to play a performance the Youth Inaugural Ball after then-President Barack Obama was sworn into office in 2009.

“I would kindly remind her that years back when Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him. But they asked me to play the inauguration. And I played it and I went,” he said. “I had a good time. I went out of respect for the president so I would kindly remind Michelle about that.”

Rock said he was originally asked to play a couple of songs at Trump’s inauguration, but he sold the team on choreographing a whole show, which may be short some pyrotechnics and strippers thanks to the Secret Service.

He teased:

We’ve put something very special together. I’ve spent so much time on this. When I was first asked to do it, it was kind of a thing where you show up and play the track, do a couple of songs. I was like, respectfully, I’m not interested in that at all. I’d rather help you any way I can, I’m a supporter, and so I put something together. I put it all down on paper to the minute, everything choreographed, this, this, and this. They loved it. Of course we get into it and we’re going through the due diligence to get it done and, God bless them, here comes the Secret Service and they’re like, yeah, we can’t light off fireworks or big pyrotechnics. I’m not sure we can have strippers on poles. But we still got something very special planned.
