Laura Ingraham Jokes About Avenatti’s Domestic Violence Arrest: ‘He’s a Heck of a Right Hook’
Laura Ingraham cracked a perhaps ill-advised joke about the arrest of Michael Avenatti for alleged domestic violence this week.
On The Ingraham Angle Thursday night, the Fox News host discussed Avenatti’s arrest in Los Angeles on suspicion of domestic violence. The lawyer, best known for representing Stormy Daniels in her fight against President Donald Trump, has denied any violence.
When one of Ingraham’s guests was praising Avenatti, the host jumped in: “He’s a heck of a right hook.”
“No that’s not true,” he guest replied. “He’s innocent until proven guilty.”

Avenatti has been pushing back on media coverage of his arrest on his Twitter page:
There is a lot of inaccurate reporting out there. For example, (1) I have NOT been charged with anything, let alone a felony; (2) Lisa wasn’t even with me Tues; etc. Numerous other “facts” being reported are completely bogus. Why is TMZ’s news “standard” the new standard?

Contrary to @foxnews and others, I have always advocated for due process including with Judge Kavanaugh (we demanded a full and thorough investigation repeatedly). Any claim to the contrary is bogus. Many of these “pundits” don’t even know what legal due process is.

He also demanded Sean Hannity invite him on air for an interview, in light of the Fox News host’s criticism of him:
.@seanhannity – I have been asking you to have me on your show to discuss various issues for 8 months. You refuse. The last two nights, you have gone after me over my beliefs re “due process.” Have me on and let’s have a real discussion about due process for me & Kavanaugh.
