Laura Ingraham Scolds ‘Conservative Influencers’ Over Epstein In-Fighting She Helped Stoke Last Week

Fox News host Laura Ingraham briefly addressed the kerfuffle roiling conservative media in recent days and spoke as though she had played no part in it.

Last week, the Trump administration disappointed and outraged the MAGA faithful after the Department of Justice concluded that deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein did not have a client list. That finding came five months after Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News the list was “sitting on my desk right now.” The DOJ further reiterated its earlier conclusion that Epstein committed suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.

The non-revelations sparked a conflagration in right-wing media, as pundits who pinned their hopes on President Donald Trump, a former Epstein associate, unmasking the rich and powerful who had associated with Epstein and potentially had sex with minors. That Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino had all hyped the Epstein case in their previous careers as pundits was salt in the wounds of the MAGA faithful.

On Friday, Ingraham spoke at a Turning Point USA summit where she asked the crowd if they are “satisfied” with the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein case.

“How many of you are satisfied – you can clap – satisfied with the results of the Epstein investigation?” she asked the crowd. “Clap.”

Nobody clapped. One audience member began booing, which became contagious as a chorus of jeers rang out. She then asked the crowd how many were not satisfied. The question drew loud applause throughout the room.

The day before, Ingraham led a discussion about Epstein on her Fox show, The Ingraham Angle.

“This all adds to the swirl of a bit of confusion about this and doubt,” Ingraham said. “And again, the government only, I think, engenders trust among the American people with full transparency.

But on Monday, Ingraham had little to say about Epstein, save for one mention where she acted as though she had not helped fan the Epstein flames on the right.

“Now, as conservative influencers were eating their own about Epstein, the president was stealing the show on the one-year anniversary of the day he almost lost his life,” Ingraham said. “He made a triumphant appearance at a global sporting event.”

The event in question was the FIFA Club World Cup, where Trump refused to leave the stage to the winning team.

“Meanwhile, Democrats keep shooting in their own goal, stumbling from one embarrassment to the next,” Ingraham went on.

On Monday, Epstein was not mentioned on Fox News at all until Special Report, which airs at 6 p.m. ET.
