‘May I Finish?’ Cheryl Hines and The View’s Sunny Hostin Throw Down Over Hines’s Husband RFK Jr.

The View’s Sunny Hostin and Cheryl Hines threw down on Tuesday over Hines’s husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and his role as the head of Health and Human Services.

Hines joined The View to promote her new memoir, Cheryl Hines Unscripted, and it did not take long for her husband to become the topic of conversation. Kennedy and his views on health, including his criticism of some vaccines, is a common topic on the show, where Kennedy is frequently criticized.

The majority of the interview was cordial, but the hosts were open about their opposition to Kennedy. Hostin made it clearest by accusing Kennedy of spreading “misinformation,” “chaos,” and “confusion.” She also claimed Kennedy is the “least qualified” head of HHS in history.

“Why is he less qualified than an economist?” Hines asked, referring to former President Barack Obama nominating Sylvia Burwell as the head of HHS.

“I think he is less qualified,” Hostin said.

“He has spent his career studying toxins, studying people’s health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job,” Hines said, referring to her husband’s work as a lawyer suing major corporations.

“He has also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion. And I think it’s just a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect,” Hostin shot back.

“Listen, we all have different views here. And when you say misinformation, disinformation, we could go back to COVID when —” Hines said before Hostin jumped in.

“He’s connected circumcision to autism!” Hostin said.

“May I finish?” a frustrated Hines said.

Kennedy claimed recently there is a connection between early circumcisions and autism due to Tylenol use, a claim that has largely been disputed by medical professionals.

“At the time, they were censoring Bobby, because Bobby said, where’s the science to show us this? And there wasn’t any. But people attacked him and said, you’re wrong. So it’s like, let’s take a step back. I know. that’s your opinion, and that’s okay,” Hines said.

Check out the exchange from The View below:

SUNNY HOSTIN: Respectfully, your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history. I think that’s very, very dangerous.

CHERYL HINES: Why is he less qualified than an economist? How is that possible.

HOSTIN: I think he is less qualified.

HINES: He has spent his career studying toxins, studying people’s health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job.

HOSTIN: He has also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion. And I think it’s just a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect.

JOY BEHAR: Some of it’s good and some of it is not. That’s the point.

HINES: Listen, we all have different views here. Yes. And when you say misinformation, disinformation, we could go back to COVID when —

HOSTIN: He’s connecting circumcision to autism.

HINES: May I finish?

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Please.

HINES: When people, Fauci, people were saying when you get the vaccine, you cannot transmit COVID, it will stop COVID. And that was disinformation, misinformation.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: We were also still learning about it. It was a novel virus we’ve never encountered before. Because now the doctors will acknowledge that it can.

HOSTIN: And Dr. Fauci has a medical degree.

HINES: At the time, they were censoring Bobby, because Bobby said, where’s the science to show us this? And there wasn’t any. But people attacked him and said, you’re wrong. So it’s like, let’s take a step back. I know. that’s your opinion, and that’s okay.
