MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell Roasts Fox News Host Over Trump-Epstein-Free Interviews

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell roasted Fox News host Sean Hannity over interviews with senior Trump officials in which he didn’t ask a single question about the Jeffrey Epstein email dump directly citing President Donald Trump.

On Thursday night’s edition of MSNBC’s The Last Word, O’Donnell opened the show by revisiting his commentary equating Vice President JD Vance’s reaction to the blockbuster Epstein email dump with ex-President Gerald Ford’s during the Nixon scandal.

Vance used his Hannity appearance as an attempt at a rejoinder on social media, but O’Donnell claimed he was only proving the point. He then hit the Fox host over his Vance chat and his next guest, Attorney General Pam Bondi. Neither were asked about the Trump-Epstein revelations:

O’DONNELL: His post on social media in response to that video says, quote, I did two media interviews literally today, one of which is airing in a few hours. That tweet was posted around 6:00 tonight. He was referring to the Sean Hannity interview with JD Vance, and that was presented just in the last hour on Fox.

And JD Vance was absolutely silent in that interview about Jeffrey Epstein’s emails, saying that Donald Trump, quote, “knew about the girls.”

JD Vance was absolutely silent in that interview about any of the Jeffrey Epstein emails released by the House Oversight Committee. JD Vance never said the word Epstein. JD Vance never said the words Ghislaine Maxwell. JD Vance stayed absolutely silent about the worst challenge his boss is facing tonight. In other words, JD Vance is still Gerald Ford tonight.

SEAN HANNITY, FOX NEWS HOST: Are you as obsessed with A.I. as I am?

J.D. VANCE, VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: I am.

HANNITY: Okay. I don’t know. I’m a Grok guy.

VANCE: Okay. Me, too. I’m a Grok guy.

HANNITY: You’re a Grok guy. Okay. Elon, I think it’s the best.

VANCE: I think it’s the best. It’s also the least woke. I’m always asking myself —

HANNITY: It’s true.

VANCE: — when I — if I ask an A.I. a question, is it going to give me an objective answer —

HANNITY: The vice president puts it extreme mode.

(CROSSTALK)

VANCE: — or woke answer?

HANNITY: Have you — have you put it in extreme mode just for kicks and giggles? It’s — it’s a little —

(LAUGHTER)

HANNITY: Well, if you want —

VANCE: I have — I have not, Sean. I don’t want the media to attack me.

HANNITY: If you want to know —

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O’DONNELL: That whole interview was for kicks and giggles. It never ever got more serious than that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HANNITY: And coming up more of my exclusive interview with Vice President J.D. Vance, we’re going to ask him about the pressures of the job. What does he learn from President Trump? And of course, the question on everyone’s mind.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O’DONNELL: The question on everyone’s mind. That was Sean doing a parody of Sean. Of course, he didn’t ask the question on everyone’s mind about Donald Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Hannity asked if J.D. Vance was going to run for president in 2028, a question J.D. Vance did not answer. But the world knows the answer is yes.

Underlying the absurdity of the Hannity interview tonight, Attorney General Pam Bondi was the next guest on the Hannity show, where, of course, the word Epstein was never mentioned. And in J.D. Vance’s social media attempt tonight in which he pretends that he is answering me and rising to Donald Trump’s defense about Donald Trump’s self-described 15-year friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, JD Vance himself managed to bring even more attention to my 18-minute statement last night about Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein and J.D. Vance.
