Must-See Late Night Clip: Colbert Offers His Own Baby Hitler Solution

While the eyes of the political world may have been locked on Fox Business for the fourth Republican debate Tuesday night, The Late Show host Stephen Colbert took on GOP hopeful Jeb Bush. Despite Bush’s slipping poll numbers, Colbert put the focus squarely on a recent response to the now-infamous New York Times Magazine survey question about killing baby Hitler.

Would Jeb do the deed? “Hell yeah I would!,” Bush celebrated. Colbert wasted no time: “That’s Politics 101! Shake the hand, kiss the baby, kill baby Hitler.”

“That’s why it’s so crucial that this comes up in tonight’s debate,” continued Colbert, before turning hit attention on pseudo-frontrunner Dr. Ben Carson. “Now Ben Carson has said if he could go back in time he would prevent the Holocaust by giving people guns. Of course, Ben Carson wouldn’t kill Hitler himself, as a doctor he swore ‘first, do no harm’, ‘second: give everyone guns.'”
