NewsNation to Host Town Hall With Trump, Chris Cuomo, Bill O’Reilly, Stephen A. Smith — and Other Special Guests

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo will host a town hall with President Donald Trump next week alongside former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and ESPN host Stephen A. Smith.

“One week from tonight, Cuomo and I will be co-anchoring[…] a town hall of Donald Trump’s first one hundred days with a live audience. Real people,” announced O’Reilly on NewsNation’s Cuomo, Wednesday.

O’Reilly added, “It wasn’t hard for me to convince the president to do it,” explaining:

I said everybody else is gonna either kiss your butt. “First hundred days, you’re Abraham Lincoln,” that’s what the right-wing media will do, and, “First hundred days, you’re a Hitler,” or whatever, that’s what the left media is gonna do. Every other news organization on television in this country will do that, but not us. We’ll have a balanced approach of people with different points of view, and because he is the centerpiece, he kicks it off. Now you and I will question him, he’ll be on the phone. We’ll be respectful, I assume, because he’s doing us a favor by coming on. There’s no doubt about that.

“Donald John Trump will make his witness on this show. A very strong move for him,” said Cuomo, whose face was made larger than Trump’s in a promotional graphic for the event.

While the town hall will take place in New York, Trump will appear via phone. Allies of the president will also reportedly take part in the show, including Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, alongside “leaders of the Democratic Party,” including James Carville.

The live audience will include Republicans, Democrats, and independents.

Smith, who will be co-hosting the town hall, recently announced his own intention to run for president in 2028.

CUOMO Town Hall: The First 100 Days is scheduled to air on NewsNation on April 30, at 8 p.m. ET.
