John Oliver Calls Out Cable News for Misusing the Word ‘Exclusive’

It may not have been the most talked about segment on Sunday’s Last Week Tonight, but it was the one that probably stung the most for the cable news industry.

In just 30 seconds, John Oliver’s show broke down just how misleadingly cable news uses the word “exclusive” to describe its interviews, from Megyn Kelly’s sit-down with Kim Davis, to yet another Donald Trump call-in on Morning Joe.
