OOPS: CNN’s Michael Smerconish Airs C-Word Uncensored
CNN’s Michael Smerconish aired a tweet containing the word “cunt” uncensored on the cable news network Sunday.
In an interview with Spike Feresten, writer of the famous “Soup Nazi” Seinfeld episode, Smerconish discussed with the comedian controversy surrounding Samantha Bee‘s remark on her TBS show that Ivanka Trump is a “feckless cunt” for her inaction over father Donald Trump‘s immigration policies.
At one point, Smerconish displayed a tweet from Sally Field, in which the actor topped Bee’s joke by noting that unlike Ivanka Trump, “Cunts are powerful, beautiful, nurturing and honest.”
I like Samantha Bee a lot, but she is flat wrong to call Ivanka a cunt.
Cunts are powerful, beautiful, nurturing and honest.

“Sally Field, speaking of the word itself if we’re really going to go there, I thought had a unique take by Twitter dare I put it up on the screen,” Smerconish said on CNN, displaying the tweet — with a certain four-letter word uncensored. “She pretty much says, we should embrace the C-word.”
“Uh. Okay, I guess,” Ferestene said, adding he finds the word “hard on my ears.” He continued, accurately, that “the British, the Australians and the Scottish use it best, and it’s usually from one man to insult another man, and it means moron.”
“And by the way, we don’t have any swears past this swear, so once we become resistant to this word, we have nothing. So use it sparingly,” Feresten pointed out.
“It’s the last one left, the F-bomb has totally lost its sting,” Smerconish added.
