Oops: Fox Mistakenly Suggests Jerry Falwell Is Still Alive

Ready for a surprise? Sit down for this one: Sometimes cable news writers and producers get their facts very, very wrong. Or are just tonedeaf.

Today’s example of factually incorrect gaffes comes via Fox’s Martha MacCallum, who said on-air that Ted Cruz‘s speech at Liberty University would be intro’d by Jerry Falwell, the man who founded that evangelical school in 1971.

Oops. The senior Jerry Falwell has been deceased for eight years; junior was nine at the time of Liberty’s founding.
