O’Reilly Slams Former Colleague Bob Beckel: ‘He Could Not Care Less About Facts’
Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly tore into his old colleague Bob Beckel Thursday, attacking the former The Five host for saying on CNN that he was scared of Megyn Kelly.
“O’Reilly is scared to death of Megyn Kelly because Megyn Kelly has been beating him in ratings,” Beckel said Wednesday. “The first time that’s happened since Fox News Channel has been on the air.”
O’Reilly praised his CNN timeslot competitor Anderson Cooper for treating him fairly, but slammed “Old Bob Beckel” as the worst of the network’s hatchet men.
“Of course that is absolutely false,” he insisted. “False, not true. And that’s why Beckel doesn’t work here at Fox anymore. He could not care less about facts.” (Actually, as Mediaite reported at the time, Beckel was let go from Fox News because of his worsening pain killer addiction)
