O’Reilly: Trump ‘Conceded the Point’ on Birtherism, Why’s the Media Still So Angry?

As far as Bill O’Reilly is concerned, Donald Trump has put the birther issue to rest for good.

He credited Trump for briefly addressing the issue on his show tonight, after tweeting this out earlier:

Trump was smart to try to bury the birther issue. Trump showed discipline & if that continues in the debates he has a real shot to win-BO'R

But O’Reilly was also bothered by how the media reacted to his speech. Trump’s comments did not put the issue to bed, it only fanned further media outrage.

He said, “It was almost pathetic today––pathetic––to watch the ravings on cable news by anti-Trump zealots. Did you guys just find out the birther issue? If Trump’s conceding the point, why the vitriol?”

O’Reilly added that “hatred never plays well with the folks.”
