O’Reilly: Why Weren’t Democrats This Outraged About Russia Before the Election?
Bill O’Reilly tonight slammed Democrats and the media for playing up “phony stories” about the electoral college and Russian hacking.
But on the latter, he recalled what he said in October, before the election: “Talking Points believes that if the intel is correct and Russian hackers working for Putin did indeed intrude on the American election, President Obama must take action.”
O’Reilly said tonight that he didn’t hear any Democrats agreeing with that sentiment then, “but now they’re whining all over the place.”
And he submitted the reason is because before the election, Democrats didn’t think potential Russian interference would derail their presidential chances. “Now,” he said, “it’s a different story.”
The outrage over Russian hacking was not quite so pronounced before the election, but Hillary Clinton brought it up in the second debate (days after that big report from intel agencies on the matter).
O’Reilly thinks that while Russia was involved in “embarrassing” Democrats, he doesn’t buy the argument that they cost Clinton the election.
