Paul Ryan: We Are Doing ‘Act of Mercy’ by Repealing and Replacing Obamacare

Speaker Paul Ryan held a press conference this afternoon to talk up the House Republican alternative to Obamacare.

Despite pushback from some on the right, Ryan listed off things that “conservatives should be excited about,” starting off with “number one, the bill repeals Obamacare.”

Ryan said what they are doing is an “act of mercy” because if they did nothing, “the law would collapse and would leave everybody without affordable health care.”
