Rick Scott Claims Dems Are In The ‘Anger Stage’ Of Grief Because Elon Musk’s DOGE Is Making Government ‘Transparent’

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) said Saturday that Democrats are in the “anger stage” of the grieving process because Elon Musk’s DOGE is bringing transparency to the government.

Musk and his young team of unknown techies at the so-called Department of Government Transparency have faced backlash for weeks now over their access to sensitive government systems and information. One complaint is that it remains unclear what the naturalized US citizen and his team are doing with payment systems, social security numbers, and other vulnerable data.

According to Scott, critics of Musk and President Donald Trump are actually upset because their “fraud” is being “exposed.”

On Saturday, the Florida Republican joined Fox Business Network to discuss Trump’s cost-cutting charge with anchor Cheryl Casone.

Casone noted Musk had claimed his executive branch commission was saving taxpayers upwards of $1 billion per day and asked Scott to react to “upset Democrats who say that this is ruining the Constitution” and who claimed the country was “in jeopardy.” Scott replied:

Well, first off, I think the Democrats are – you know, in the stages of a loss, it’s either they’re in the grief stage or the anger stage. But they don’t understand that Donald Trump won the presidency. And part of the reason he won is all the Democrats’ foolish decisions. He won because he committed to make government accountable and transparent. That’s exactly what he’s doing. That’s exactly what Elon Musk is doing. And they’re frustrated that this is happening.

There’s – so the amount of waste is staggering. You know, I’m a business guy. You do this constantly if you want to have a successful business. I became governor of Florida in January 2011. We went we went line by line through the budget, 4,000 lines, the budget. We said if it’s not meeting its purpose, we’re going to stop spending the money. That’s exactly what you as a taxpayer want them to do. So Elon Musk is doing a great job. Donald Trump is doing a great job. And the Democrats cannot believe that all their all their failure, all their fraud, all their waste is being exposed. And it’s going away.
