SNL‘s Cold Open Shows ‘Trump’ Choosing Jared Kushner Over Steve Bannon
Alec Baldwin was back on Saturday Night Live tonight, and he started off the new episode by depicting how President Trump settled the conflict between Jared Kushner and Steve Bannon.
After rattling off his latest accomplishments and talking about the brewing conflict with North Korea, Baldwin’s Trump brought in his two top advisers to address their recent battle for influence within the White House. Bannon was once again depicted as the Grim Reaper, while Trump’s son-in-law was portrayed by tonight’s guest host, Jimmy Fallon.
After a reality show-like monologue about who should be his top adviser, Baldwin’s Trump eventually decides to go with Kushner over Bannon. This resulted in Bannon being sent off to Hell, and Kushner got to take Trump’s seat at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.
