Stephen Colbert Mocks Biden With Dr. Seuss Parody: ‘Is He Mentally Fit? Can He Serve a Whole Term? Can He Beat RFK With His Brain Full of Worm?’

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert mocked the increasing concerns over President Joe Biden’s alleged cognitive decline on Wednesday with a Dr. Seuss parody book titled, “Oh, the Places For Joe!”

After playing a clip of 83-year-old Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) backing Biden with the rhyme, “We’re ridin’ with Biden,” Colbert mocked, “Ridin’ with Biden is catchy, but if it’s all gonna be based on rhymes, maybe Preparis for Harris? Or Jump in the Car With Klobuchar? Or Take a Closer Looker at Senator Cory Booker?”

Colbert then played a clip of Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) telling reporters that Democrats weren’t “even in the same book” about what to do with Biden, let alone the “same page.”

“Wow, that’s pretty rough. Could I recommend a new book?” reacted Colbert, before pulling out a parody of Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, renamed “Oh, the Places For Joe!”

Reading from the book, the Late Show host said, “Is he mentally fit? Can he serve a whole term? Can he beat RFK with his brain full of worm? Just ask him, just ask him, the man loves to talk, as long as you ask him before eight o’clock.”

Biden’s alleged cognitive decline was also mocked on Monday by The Daily Show host Jon Stewart, who tore into Democrats for making “bullshit” excuses for Biden’s “shocking display of cognitive difficulty.”

“I am in no way saying Biden’s gotta drop out, but can’t we stress test this candidacy?” questioned Stewart. “Do you have any idea how thirsty Americans are for any hint of inspiration or leadership and a release from this choice of a megalomaniac and a suffocating gerontocracy? It is crushing our fucking spirits!”
