Sunny Hostin: My Family Considered Suing Trump Administration After Husband’s Parents Died From Covid
The View co-host Sunny Hostin revealed on Thursday that her family considered suing the Trump administration after her in-laws died from the coronavirus.
The Trump White House came under fire for its messaging during the pandemic.
“If all these people who got Covid because of the lies and misinformation, isn’t there a class action suit that they can sue that administration and all those people who took her words and changed them or took them out,” asked View co-host Joy Behar, referring to View guest co-host Stephanie Grisham, who served as White House press secretary and in other communications roles in the Trump administration.
“My family has thought about this a lot, especially because Manny’s parents died from Covid, and I blame the Trump administration for that,” said Hostin, referring to her husband, Emmanuel Hostin.
“But can you sue them?” asked Behar.
“We’ve explored it,” said Hostin. “We’ve explored it. We’ve thought about it.” She didn’t elaborate on why her family didn’t take legal action.
