The Dirtier Minds On The Five Lose It After Kimberly Guilfoyle’s Accidental ‘Sex’ Joke
I don’t have the mind of a 10 year old. I don’t find juvenile sex jokes funny. I do, however, have the mind of a 12 year old which is why I love watching people who do have the mind of a 10 year old laugh at juvenile sex jokes. Clearly I have more mature tastes. Anyway, that’s why I loved watching Martin Bashir‘s panel cracking up over Vice President Biden’s “big stick” comment and why I get great enjoyment in watching Bob Beckel try to contain his giggling after Kimberly Guilfoyle’s analysis of the John Edwards story seemed to contain (to those with the mind of a 10 year old) an allusion to oral sex.
Things were already getting dirty as Beckel began claiming that “scumbag” was a swear word. I’m not sure, but I’d guess that he still uses the same old school definition of the word as my dad (if you don’t know it, think about a prophylactic post use). That set the tone perfectly for Guilfoyle’s claims that Edwards wanted to have “his cake – or mistress – and eat it too.” After a second of silence, Beckel responded with a scandalized “Ooh!” and we were on the first train to Chuckle Town.
It’s times like this that I really think some network should just replace a political panel show with a bunch of elementary school students. It’d be fun to watch and, really, do our politicians deserve much better?
