The Five Piles on Sharpton: He Has ‘Ruined More Lives than E. Coli’

Fox’s The Five tackled the revelation Tuesday that Al Sharpton was supposedly an informant for the FBI. The Smoking Gun’s report says Sharpton was a mafia “associate” and was flipped after the FBI set up a sting. Eric Bolling brought up a video HBO aired years ago that shows such a sting, saying it seems very likely he only got involved with the FBI because “the feds had something on him first.”

Andrea Tantaros criticized Sharpton for changing his story and doubting that he was an FBI informant just to do the right thing. Greg Gutfeld, meanwhile, didn’t think this detail about Sharpton was that significant in the grand scheme. He said, “Saying Al Sharpton was an informant is like saying Charles Manson is a lousy dancer. It’s the least of his evils!”

Gutfeld kept hammering Sharpton throughout the segment, saying he’s “ruined more lives than e.coli” with his “race-baiting,” and taking a shot at MSNBC for giving him a show, saying, “The only way MSNBC could set their bar even lower would be to hire a paramecium!”

Bolling joined the pile-on to wonder “what makes him a reverend,” and Gutfeld sarcastically cried, “I would never suggest that it’s a tax dodge” before calling Sharpton a “charlatan.”
