Trump: John Lewis ‘Grandstanded’ and Made Himself Look Bad

Fox News aired a clip of President-elect Donald Trump‘s interview with Ainsley Earhardt this afternoon, in which Trump has more to say about Congressman John Lewis.

Lewis said he doesn’t consider Trump to be a legitimate president and Trump fired back on Twitter.

In the Fox interview, Trump swiped at him for “conveniently” not remembering that he also skipped George W. Bush‘s inauguration in 2001, saying, “He got caught… It’s making him look bad, frankly.”

He talked up the need for a smooth transition and credited President Obama for being “gracious” in that respect. Lewis, Trump added, “grandstanded.”

As for the dozens of other Democrats not going to the inauguration, Trump didn’t really seem to mind, saying, “We need seats so badly. I hope they give me their tickets.”
