WATCH: Trump Quotes Law Professor Jonathan Turley to Blast Sally Yates, Russia Probe
After posting a very Trump-centric tweet honoring Memorial Day, President Donald Trump was back on the subject of his current fixation: “SPYGATE!”
The president first quoted a Fox News segment on the (thus far unfounded) theory he has been pushing as of late, which holds that President Barack Obama‘s FBI spied on his campaign for political purposes.
“The President deserves some answers.” @FoxNews in discussing “SPYGATE.”

Trump then quoted law professor Jonathan Turley, who appeared on Fox & Friends Monday morning and called for an investigation into the FBI’s probe into Trump’s campaign.
The FBI used an informant to speak to members of the Trump campaign in 2016 suspected of ties to Russian efforts to meddle in the election. Trump has sought to spin those revelations into a conspiracy theory — which he has branded “SPYGATE” — which holds the the FBI was targeting his campaign to help elect Hillary Clinton.
“We now find out that the Obama Administration put the opposing campaigns presidential candidate, or his campaign, under investigation. That raises legitimate questions. I just find this really odd…this goes to the heart of our electoral system.” Jonathan Turley on @FoxNews

Turley said in his Fox & Friends appearance that the criticisms of Sally Yates — the former Deputy Attorney General who blasted Trump’s latest attacks on the FBI and Justice Department over the weekend — are rather ironic.
“Sally Yates is part of concerns people have raised about bias in the Justice Dept. I find her actions to be really quite unbelievable.” Jonathan Turley
