Tucker Carlson Criticizes CNN For Cutting Away to Cover FBI’s Cohen Raid: It’s the ‘Stormy Daniels Story’

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson gave scant time to today’s huge blockbuster news that the FBI raided Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s office. When he did cover the story, he took the opportunity to take shots at a competitor for treating it like major breaking news.

“A possible war with Syria seems like an important news story but it’s not THE important news story of the day,” Tucker snarked. “Not the most important CNN revealed their view of that this afternoon. When they cut away from Nikki Haley at the UN to this.”

With that, Carlson played a clip of CNN covering Haley’s comments at the UN and then cutting away to report that the FBI had just raided Cohen’s office.

“Well, that raid is reportedly connected to the Stormy Daniels story that CNN covered wall-to-wall and of course, Stormy Daniels is way more important than any war with Syria,” Carlson declared with a smirk. “That’s CNN’s position.”

Carlson then threw it to frequent guest Mark Steyn for his opinion, which somehow had to do with the new movie about the Ted Kennedy scandal, Chappaquiddick.

So, just to recap, a cable news outlet breaking away to report on the personal attorney of the President of the United States getting his office raided by the feds should be criticized because they treated it like major news.
