“Driving through hell.”

That’s how California motorists described the scene in Riverside, California where a wildfire — known as the Canyon Fire — has engulfed over 2,000 acres of land, according to ABC News. Roughly 1,000 residents from Riverside and Corona left their homes this week as the flames travelled rapidly through the area, located less than an hour south of Los Angeles.

The video shows motorists casually driving on a freeway as a fiery hell-scape buries the side of the road and ash reigns down on their vehicles.

This morning, the Anaheim Fire & Rescue Department reported that the Canyon Fire was at 20 percent containment with no threats to neighborhoods in the area. Though, the fire still occupies around 2,000 acres of land.
