Watch: MSNBC Panelist Interrupts Segment to Snag Pastries For His Wife, Who Just Gave Birth
The steady stream of bad Donald Trump news on MSNBC was momentarily interrupted when MSNBC legal analyst Danny Cevallos performed an act of gallantry in the middle of a segment on Trump’s deepening legal jeopardy.
On Sunday morning’s edition of Up with David Gura, Cevallos was discussing the multiple fronts o which Trump is now being investigated, and warned that the ;ying and spinning that Trump and his associates perform on public “become prosecutable” when done in the presence of an FBI agent.
Then, he whipped out a pair of plastic tongs and a wax-paper bag.
“And now, if you’ll excuse me, my wife has a few requests, if you don’t mind,” Cevallos said.
“What is he doing?” another panelist exclaimed, as Cevallos grabbed some goodies off of the famous Up Pastry Plate.
“Honey, they don’t have any banana-nut bread,” Cevallos said, addressing his wife in the viewing audience, then explained “She’s pregnant, she says ‘No broccoli, all pastries’.”
Everyone had a good laugh, then resumed their existences in our current political hellscape.

Update: Cevallos reached out to suggest an update:
@tommyxtopher hi Tommy! My wife actually just had the baby if you want to change the headline. I hope I didn’t say she was pregnant! I don’t think I did but I’ll listen back. Thank you very much!

Alas, it was Cevallos who misspoke:
I have NO idea why I said my wife was pregnant! She’s just had the baby. I was babbling. I take it back! Watch: MSNBC Panelist Interrupts Segment to Snag Pastries For His Wife (who just had a baby) https://t.co/4PkeA9viGL via @mediaite @tommyxtopher

Either way, congratulations, Danny, and nice job with the pastries!
Cevallos also tweeted a pic of his family’s newest member.
Official Retraction: this morning @UPonMSNBC @davidgura I meant to say my wife is “nursing,” NOT that she’s “pregnant.” We’re sleep-deprived & Mom was pregnant for 9mos. This lady wants a retraction. @raelyn @laurenpeikoff @Mediaite pic.twitter.com/XPPGCJaphg
