Whoopi Goldberg Slams Kanye Over 13th Amendment Tweet: ‘Think and Write It Down Before You Say It!’
Whoopi Goldberg called out Kanye West on The View this morning over a tweet he sent out following his SNL stint this past weekend.
After making some pro-Trump comments in the studio while wearing his MAGA hat, West took to Twitter to 1) defend the hat, and 2) make a comment about abolishing the 13th amendment:
this represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love pic.twitter.com/a15WqI8zgu

He later clarified what he meant:
the 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise meaning it never ended We are the solution that heals

On The View today, Goldberg showed some of West’s comments from the SNL studio before bringing up that first tweet.
Goldberg said, “The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, Kanye.”
She sighed and said, “So maybe, MAYBE you want to think and write it down before you say it so that you know what you’re saying!”
As they went to break Joy Behar said West is clearly looking for attention.
