‘You Have No Idea!’ Christie Gets Testy with Chuck Todd over Bridgegate

Chuck Todd put Chris Christie on the hot seat today over Bridgegate, challenging the presidential candidate about what the scrutiny surrounding multiple individuals close to him says about his judgment or the climate he created in office.

When Christie said it’s hard to keep tabs on the thousands and thousands of people working for him, Todd jumped in to say that doesn’t fly where a huge appointment––David Wildstein to the Port Authority––is concerned.

Christie snapped back, “You have absolutely no idea! You have no idea, as you sit here today, that he did anything wrong, nor does anybody else… Stop reading the newspapers.”

He touted his own honesty in contrast with Hillary Clinton‘s, saying President Obama ought to consider her various scandals stains on his administration. When Todd asked him if Bridgegate is a stain on his, Christie bluntly said no.
