Don Lemon’s Interview With Elon Musk Faces Technical Difficulties on X/Twitter

The launch of Don Lemon’s new digital show on X, formerly Twitter, was derailed by technical glitches on Monday morning. The former CNN anchor and host of The Don Lemon Show said he could not post the episode, which features an interview with X owner Elon Musk, on the platform.

The issue was only a temporary glitch, however, as the video posted at 7:47 a.m.

Lemon made headlines last week when he announced that Musk had canceled a partnership between his new show and X. Clips of the interview were later made public and showed Musk getting testy with tough but fair questions. The video launched Monday morning as a stream on YouTube. While the show will still be published on X, Lemon no longer has a paid deal with the platform to provide exclusive content.

Yet on the morning of the launch, the video did not post to X at 7 a.m. as planned. Lemon posted on social media, “Despite all signs overnight that there should be no problems, the premiere episode of the show is currently not posting on X”

Lemon then added:

After terminating the partnership, Musk went on a bizarre attack on Lemon, claiming he ended the deal because the former CNN host’s interview style was that of former CNN president Jeff Zucker. The interview that was posted on YouTube, however, shows a pretty straightforward back-and-forth between Lemon and Musk, though to be fair, this reporter has not yet watched the entire interview.

Mediaite contacted the X press team and received what appears to be an automated response: “Busy now, please check back later.”

Editor’s note: This post has been updated to include the video post on X/Twitter.
