Lindsey Graham Torches JD Vance for Denouncing Ukraine Aid: ‘Quit Talking About Things You Don’t Know Anything About!’
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) ripped his GOP colleague Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) for criticizing the $61 billion aid package to Ukraine — which passed the House on Saturday.
In an interview on Fox News Sunday, Fox News anchor Shannon Bream confronted Graham about comments from Vance in a New York Times op-ed — in which the Ohio senator said the package was just “a fraction of what it would take to turn the tide in Ukraine’s favor.”
“With all due respect to Senator Vance, he’s wrong,” Graham said bluntly.
“But is he wrong about the math?” Bream asked.
“He’s wrong about the whole concept that we can deal with multiple problems,” Graham said. He added, “This idea that we can’t help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan at the same time, I reject that. I reject it totally.”
Graham then called for Vance to visit Ukraine to get a better sense of what’s happening on the ground.
“It’s one thing to talk about Ukraine over here,” Graham said. “It’s another thing to go. I challenged JD Vance to go to Ukraine and get a briefing from the Ukrainian military , and talk to the Ukrainian people. Then tell me what you think.”
Senator Richard Blumenthal (R-CT), who appeared on the program in tandem with Graham, invited Vance to join the two senators on the upcoming bipartisan visit to the region.
“He can come on our next trip,” Blumenthal said.
“You’re welcome to come,” Graham added. “Quit talking about things you don’t know anything about until you go!”
