'Joe Biden Smoked Donald Trump!' Biden Campaign Hits Back at Newest Trump Claim He Can Prove His Election Lies

Former President Donald Trump posted his biggest lead yet over President Joe Biden in a tracking poll meant to measure voters’ feelings about a rematch between the two in November.

According to Morning Consult’s 2024 tracking poll, Trump now leads Biden by 5 points (45%-40%), the largest margin of victory he’s had yet in the survey, which has been in effect since December 2022.

At the time of its inception, the poll found that 43% of Americans would back Biden in 2024 while just 40% would line up behind Trump. Biden held a lead over Trump for the majority of 2023 with Trump intermittently pulling ahead and doing so more frequently toward year’s end.

Of the nearly 2,000 respondents, 46% said they had a favorable opinion of Trump while 44% indicated that they thought favorably of Biden. The likely Republican nominee also had fewer respondents (51%) say they had an unfavorable opinion of Trump than Biden (53%).

The economy, national security, jobs, health care, and crime were the most common issues identified by voters as being “very important” to their decision at the ballot box.

On those issues, Trump boasted an advantage with voters on every single one except for health care.

Biden won the popular vote handily against Trump in 2020 and even won the Electoral College by over 70 votes.

His ascension to the Oval Office, however, was predicated upon an extremely narrow margin of victory in a number of key swing states. including Georgia, where Biden beat Trump by .23%, Pennsylvania (1.17%), Arizona (.30%) and Wisconsin (.63%). That means that Trump could lose the popular vote and still retake the White House in November.

According to a set of Morning Consult polls conducted in seven key, battleground states last month, Trump is favored in every single one of them.
