Airline Exec Resigns After Yelling on Plane over a Bag of Nuts

A Korean Air executive lost her job after what’s being reported as an angry fit she threw on board a plane when she was served nuts in a bag.

No, seriously.

Cho Hyun-ah was on board a Korean Air plane when a flight attendant gave her a bag of macadamia nuts. Cho was furious that the nuts were in a bag and not on a plate, and proceeded to loudly scold the flight attendant. And then, to make matters even crazier, while the plane was on the taxiway, Cho ordered the pilot to turn around so she could kick the employee off the plane.

Now, in addition to being a Korean Air executive, Cho just happens to be the daughter of company CEO Cho Yang-ho. He apologized and pledged to take action. Soon after, Cho resigned.

But it might not end there, because the South Korean government is investigating the matter over a potential breach of aviation safety regulations because generally flight crew members are only supposed to take orders from the captain on the plane, even if one of the passengers is an executive of the company.
