Anti-Kardashian TV Anchor: ‘My Issue Isn’t with the Kardashians’
Good Day Orlando co-host John Brown addressed the viral video of his Tuesday morning meltdown over the Kardashians on Wednesday’s show.
According to The Wrap, the Florida television anchor explained that his “issue isn’t with the Kardashians.” Instead, his concern over whether or not the latest happenings from the world of Kim Kardashian and Bruce Jenner truly merit the media’s attention. That is, he sees it “from the media standpoint.”
“We feel like the public wants to hear it. The public hears it so much about it that they think the media is going to give more. It’s this huge cycle”
Co-host, Amy Kaufeldt, thought that everyone loved the video his his pseudo meltdown because it was “funny and entertaining.” Yet Brown expressed his inability to understand “why someone feels the need to put them in the news and in the paper every single day.”
The anchor also addressed the #NoKardashiansForAWeek on Twitter, instituted by none other than celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, saying it is a “silly” response to the entire non-event:
People are asking me about the #NoKardashiansForAWeek movement. I think it’s silly. Why don’t we ONLY cover them if they make actual news?
