Audio Emerges from Thad Cochran’s Hijacked Press Call
Political Twitter was transfixed earlier today with what reporters described as a pandemonium that erupted on a Thad Cochran press call over a question about the campaign “harvesting black votes” like black people harvested cotton. And now there’s audio.
Talking Points Memo obtained audio of the incredibly bizarre conference call that devolved into yelling after that question through a wrench in the proceedings. After the Cochran camp hung up, the remaining people on the line argued, wondered if a plant for Obama or Cochran asked the question, and things ended with some strange Obama/Cheney/whatever soundboards.
