Axelrod to Hillary Clinton: Supporter of Iraq War Says What?
Over the weekend former Secretary of State and presumed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton delivered her harshest words yet on President Barack Obama’s foreign policy, citing his failure to back Syrian rebels as the root cause of the Islamic militant group ISIS’ current ascendancy, and critiquing his “don’t do stupid shit” foreign policy as not much of a policy at all.
To that former Obama advisor David Axelrod has two words: Iraq War. You know, the war which Clinton supported, and which arguably cost her the 2008 nomination against Iraq War opponent Barack Obama:
Just to clarify: "Don't do stupid stuff" means stuff like occupying Iraq in the first place, which was a tragically bad decision.
