Bernie Sanders: NPR’s Diane Rehm ‘Messed Up’ with Israel Question

BS

Despite what NPR host Diane Rehm may have read on a “list” given to her by her staff, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is not dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel. When Rehm asserted as much during her interview with the Democratic presidential candidate on Wednesday, he quickly corrected her and said he gets a little bit “offended” by the insinuations made about him on some anti-Zionist websites.

After Rehm admitted in a follow-up statement that she had made a “mistake” by taking the information about Sanders from a comment on Facebook and reading it as fact, Sanders has now addressed the issue during a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Thursday.

“I like Diane Rehm; she’s a good radio interviewer,” Sanders told reporters, according to The Hill. “I don’t know where she got it. I suspect that her staff gave her a list of questions, and she messed up

The senator added that he is “proud to be Jewish” but “not particularly religious,” which in and of itself is bold admission for any presidential candidate to make.
