Carson: Cruz’s Dismissals of Iowa Wrongdoing Like Hillary’s ‘What Difference Does It Make?’

cruz carsonBen Carson went there in a radio interview with Fox’s Todd Starnes: invoking Hillary Clinton‘s infamous Benghazi outburst to attack Ted Cruz for dismissing Iowa wrongdoing.

Carson is clearly still outraged about the Cruz campaign spreading a rumor he was dropping out, due to some misreading of CNN’s reporting, while the Iowa caucuses were going on. Cruz apologized, but he’s not taking any disciplinary action, which is exactly what Carson wants.

He said today that while Cruz’s team didn’t cross the line legally speaking, this is about doing what’s right.

“Not to take corrective action,” Carson argued, “is passively saying it’s okay or it’s sort of like Hillary Clinton said, after Benghazi, ‘What difference does it make?'”

When Starnes asked him if he’s comparing the Iowa fight to Benghazi, Carson simply said, “It’s the same kind of attitude.”
