Chelsea Clinton Confronted at Vigil by Student Blaming Her ‘Rhetoric’ for NZ Mosque Shooting
Chelsea Clinton attended an NYU vigil for the victims of the horrific New Zealand mosque terror attack, and a video of a confrontation from the vigil has gone viral overnight.
Clinton had publicly weighed in on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in multiple tweets:
Co-signed as an American. We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism.

Hi Melissa – I will reach out to her tomorrow. I also think we have to call out anti-Semitic language and tropes on all sides, particularly in our elected officials and particularly now.

Hello Congresswoman! Completely agree. I will reach out to your office tomorrow. Looking forward to connecting about this thread and more, Chelsea

Clinton apologizes in the video posted to Twitter from the vigil, before the activist confronting her tells her, “This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out.”
“49 people died because of the rhetoric you put out there.”
Many people came to Clinton’s defense, including people who generally don’t defend the Clintons:
It’s sickening to see people blame @ChelseaClinton for the NZ attacks because she spoke out against anti-Semitism. We should all be condemning anti-Semitism & all forms of hate. Chelsea should be praised for speaking up. Anyone who doesn’t understand this is part of the problem.

I don’t agree with @ChelseaClinton on pretty much anything, but blaming her rhetoric for the New Zealand massacre is completely bonkers (although typical of the the attitude ascendant on the Left)https://t.co/Tqr431Bc7n

Fox & Friends this morning defended Clinton too, with Ed Henry saying she had nothing to apologize for. You can watch the segment––including the video of the confrontation––above.
