Clinton Uses Speech To Hit Back at Trump, and Mentions Her Religion
Today, Donald Trump hosted a speech at Trump Soho in New York City. It was billed from the beginning as an anti-Hillary Clinton speech and it came right after she herself gave a speech about him. Moments ago, she gave another campaign speech and used the last few minutes to retaliate against him. (If you think the back-and-forth is tiring, just remember that if they’re not giving speeches, they’re sending petty tweets about each other, so we are lucky they’re going this route for now.)
She first subtly hit back at his questioning of her religion yesterday:
Probably not a coincidence Clinton mentions her religion today: “As we Methodists like to say…”

Then, she got around to going at him more directly:
Here we go… “Donald Trump and I disagree on a lot of things, and one of them is simple math,” Clinton says

Here is a video of the last few minutes of her speech in Raleigh, NC. She went after Trump’s history with bankruptcy, made fun of his catchphrase from his reality TV days, and ended with a “God bless you!” to the crowd.
And so, five hours after Trump gave his speech this morning, the ball is back in his court.
