Colbert Ridicules Kanye West For Supporting Trump: I Think He Has ‘Lost His Mind’
On Wednesday night, Stephen Colbert mocked Kanye West after he made a series of tweets expressing his support for President Trump.
The Late Show host began by saying that Kanye was “getting kinda political” and pointed to his tweet of his signed Make America Great Again hat with thirty fire emojis.
“Now that is fitting because that is how many times I would set that hat on fire,” Colbert quipped.
Colbert predicted that Kanye was “lobbying” to become the next White House Communications Director and that he could just change his name to “Kellyanne Kanye.”
He then drew attention to the following tweet:
You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

“Yes, we have the right to independent thought and I independently think that Kanye has lost his mind,” Colbert reacted. “You know what? Donald Trump is your brother. It is true. I’m your brother, too. And brother to brother, I just want to say… put the phone down!”
He then asked Kanye if he’s been “hanging out with Dr. Ronny Jackson” and mocked the “total bro-fest” between him and President Trump.
“Look for their new album, ‘Yeezy and Sleazy,'” Colbert joked.
Colbert wrapped up by congratulating Trump for earning the “coveted Kanye endorsement.”
