Conservative Media Watchdog Asks If MSNBC Viewers Would Be Able To Tell That New Host Is Black

On Tuesday, MSNBC announced political analyst Karen Finney will host a new weekend show.

The African-American Finney served as a spokeswoman for the Democratic National Committee and as a political analyst and guest host on MSNBC since 2009.

Tim Graham, of the conservative Media Research Center, took to Twitter to express doubts about the network’s ability to “tout” Finney as another African-American host on its roster, questioning whether the average viewer could discern Finney’s ethnicity.
