Dems Protest, Chant ‘Where’s the Bill?’ After House Moment of Silence on Orlando
The House moment of silence for Orlando yesterday was preface to a chorus of shouts and protests from Democrats demanding congressional action on guns.
One Democrat had been venting about the idea of a moment of silence followed by inaction, saying he’s tired of “obnoxious expressions of smug incompetence.” And during the moment of silence yesterday, there were a few walkouts.
But as soon as it ended, Democrats started loudly voicing their displeasure and chanted, “Where’s the bill?”

Congressman James Clyburn said he’s “really concerned” that they had a moment of silence and aren’t taking up post-Charleston gun legislation.
Speaker Paul Ryan cut him off after determining he was not making a parliamentary inquiry, which led to more shouting.
