Donald Trump Would Consider an Actual Database to Track Muslims
Donald Trump today has been talking up the idea of a database to track Muslims in the name of security.
It all started with a Yahoo News interview in which Trump was asked about his belief that American mosques should be placed under surveillance. When asked if that involved warrantless searches, Trump said, “We’re going to have to do things that we never did before. And some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule.”
Trump was even pushed to the point where he did not rule out the idea of tracking Muslims, saying, “We’re going to have to look at a lot of things very closely.”
And in case there was any ambiguity left, Trump made his position clear tonight:
Trump to NBC on whether his WH would implement database tracking Muslims: “i would certainly implement that. Absolutely.” Video coming…
