Dr. Craig Spencer Will Be Released from Hospital After Being Treated for Ebola

Multiple news outlets are reporting tonight that Craig Spencer, the New York doctor who’s being treated in Bellevue Hospital Center for Ebola, will be released from the hospital tomorrow. Spencer tested positive for Ebola on October 23rd while in the hospital.

There were some public health concerns over Spencer’s itinerary in the days before he was diagnosed. He took an Uber and went to a bowling alley (and no, you can’t get Ebola from a bowling ball) and New York health officials tracked down four people who came in contact with Spencer during that period.

The media got a bit worked up, and some people in the press even went after Spencer for being irresponsible. But tomorrow, Spencer will be released, as confirmed by people with direct knowledge of his treatment.
