Everyone Comes Together to Mourn Barbara Bush’s Passing: ‘A Beautiful Light in This World’

After news broke that former first lady Barbara Bush passed away at 92 on Tuesday night, the typically divisive political Twitter came together to laud the late Republican matriarch.
Bush, wife to one President and mother to another, dealt with numerous health problems up until her passing, including Graves’ disease, open-heart surgery, and, finally, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. Despite these health troubles, she maintained active in public life, working with her husband in charity work and even helping her son Jeb Bush during his 2016 presidential run.
Her passing was met with an outpouring of heartbreak over her death and praise of her life, as everyone from Bill Clinton to J. J. Watt posted their condolences:
