#FacebookDown and #InstagramDown Take Over Twitter Amid Hours-Long Outage

You may have noticed that Facebook and Instagram are down. Well, you’re not the only one.

As of this posting, the top two Twitter trends in the United States are #FacebookDown and #InstagramDown. The issue has been going on for hours. Earlier today Facebook took to Twitter to say this:

We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
