Former Obama Staffer Critiques Trans Push: Is Administration ‘Confident the Science Is Clear?’
A former White House and campaign staffer for President Barack Obama pushed back against the administration’s pro-trans school bathroom blitz Thursday, asking if the science was really settled and if they had bothered to reach out to parents at all.
Michael Wear, who directed Obama’s faith outreach in the 2012 campaign and the White House’s evangelical outreach, took to Twitter and said that the president was making a drastic shift without actually reaching out to educators and parents to explain the science behind it.
It is astounding how quickly this is moving without an actual national conversation on the issue. https://t.co/CQjNuovE3Y

This might be a political issue in DC but there are a lot of well-meaning parents (+ kids) who literally have no idea what any of this means

My point here is not that this is a bad move. My point is: Has the Education Secretary toured public schools to talk to parents about this?

Is HHS confident that the science is clear and settled on transgender issues and children, and has it properly communicated that info?

What I’m trying to say is: there was more outreach done in advance of changing the food pyramid.
