Fox’s Van Susteren: ‘Chuck Todd Is Not a Frog’
Fox News host Greta Van Susteren blogged Sunday night that the attention being paid to Chuck Todd and David Muir as they start new hosting gigs at NBC’s Meet the Press and ABC’s World News Tonight, respectively, was akin to a biology class’s scrutiny of a dissected frog, and that everybody needs to calm the eff down about them. (She’s not wrong.)
Lest you miss the frog analogy, here it is in size-Benghazi font:

Have you see the media obsession this past week with ABC’s David Muir and Meet the Press Chuck Todd?
Now that both men have launched their new shows, can everyone let up on them? It is silly how others in the media have been dissecting them like they are frogs. Every question, every gesture has been dissected and analyzed! Every slight change from their prior hosts is seen as hugely significant (it is not…there will be a lot of changes as time marches on. This is TV!)
It is also embarrassing how obsessed the media is with Todd and Muir – it tells viewers we are more interested in ourselves than we are in the news stories.
Both men did a great job so now let’s leave them alone to do their jobs.
