George Zimmerman’s Girlfriend Now Claims He ‘Never Pointed a Gun’ at Her

George Zimmerman, the man charged and acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin in 2012, was recently arrested again on firearms charges after his girlfriend accused him of pointed a shotgun at her during a domestic dispute. On Monday, Zimmerman’s girlfriend recounted saying that Zimmerman never pointed a firearm at her. She added that she wants “to be with” him.

Zimmerman faced charges of aggravated assault after his girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, requested in writing that the court amend his bail conditions so that he can have contact with her. She wrote that Zimmerman “never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner.” Scheibe added, “I want to be with George.”

In November, Zimmerman was arrested after Scheibe telephoned police to say that “He’s got a freaking gun, breaking all my stuff right now.” Zimmerman told police at the time that he did, in fact, instigate an incident involving a firearm.
