Geraldo Opens Up About His Pal Bill O’Reilly to Howard Stern: ‘The Guy Never Had a Good Date’

Geraldo Rivera has sympathy for his old pal Bill O’Reilly even after the former Fox News host’s ouster due to multiple sexual misconduct claims against him being settled.

Appearing on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Rivera said that he feels badly for O’Reilly because he was unloved.

“The problem is the guy never had a good date,” Rivera said. “That’s his problem. He never had someone who really loved him. I assume that’s why he stumbled into these–”

“Weird relationships,” Stern said, interjecting.

“That ended up costing him tens of millions of dollars,” Rivera said.

Geraldo noted that his feelings for O’Reilly stem from the fact that he remained loyal to Rivera during a low point in his career. Now, it seems, Rivera is returning the favor.

“I feel sorry for the guy. And I have to remember that during my hard times where I faded from stardom, he still would put me on his show every week.”
