King broached the subject when filling in for John Gambling on WOR-AM, according to the New York Daily News, during an interview with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo about the “disgraceful” ordeal.
In the end, a $50 billion package did recently pass in the House 241-180, with 29 Republicans voting in favor and 179 voting against it.
“Quite frankly it’s going to be difficult going back and working with people you sit next to and whenever they were in need,, we responded immediately,” King said. “Not one member of Congress every voted against or said one word in opposition to aid going to other states when the money was needed.”

On a more positive note, Cuomo lauded the bipartisanship on the issue in New York. “Maybe it’s because the disaster was so terrible that it just shook the politics out of the situation,” he said. “Or, I like to think that’s how we’re governing in New York.”
King, you may recall, was furious about the delayed vote, accusing his party of turning their backs on those who needed help. (Later, he had kinder words.)
